A planning application has been lodged to develop a 43,500 square metre windfarm close to Ennistymon.

The application from Cork-based company Reeve Wave Ltd is to construct the facility on a 38-acre site, about 6km to the north-east of the town.
It would contain over 27,000 solar panels and generate enough power for 2,000 homes.
The renewable energy firm has already lodged plans for solar energy farms in Tipperary and Cork.
