Planning permission has been granted to turn a site previously earmarked for an NCT centre in Shannon into an educational facility.
In May, the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) confirmed the development of a centre at the Smithstown Industrial Estate had been halted ‘due to significant contractual difficulties’.

Two alternative locations in Shannon are currently being explored by the NCTS.
Brian Marrinan Construction Ltd have now been given the green light to instead provide health and safety training for Work Safe Training Systems Ltd at the original site.
