People are being advised to stay indoors this afternoon as Storm Barney sweeps through Clare.

A mid-level orange weather alert remains in place for Clare from 12 noon until 9 o'clock tonight with gusts of up to 125 kilometres per hour in places.
It's expected to peak during mid-afternoon and abate by around 6 o'clock this evening.
Conditions seen during storm weather last year aren't expected to be repeated but Clare County Council are advising people to be aware of the dangers of the strong winds.
