Storm Dudley has made landfall, with the banner county under a Status Yellow wind warning until 11.30pm tonight.

Gusts of around 86 kilometres per hour have been recorded in Shannon earlier today, though Met Éireann has warned these could increase to 110 kilometres per hour across the county.

There’s also a warning that flooding is likely along coastal areas.

Forecaster Michelle Dillon, from Tullycrine, says the second storm; Storm Eunice could be upgraded to orange later in the week.
