The Dáil has heard calls for a review of housing strategies in Clare, in light of the death of Joseph Pavelka.

The body of the 52 year old was discovered in a laneway in Ennis on Saturday night, with the case receiving national attention since his death and also in recent weeks, when judge Patrick Durcan labelled his living conditions, in a public toilet in the town, as a scandal.
Speaking during a Dáil debate on homelessness, Dublin Labour TD Sean Kenny called on Clare County Council to boost it’s services to help the homeless in the county.
