Clare holiday makers are being advised to ensure that their passports are in date, in order to ensure they don’t miss out on their getaways.

Applications for a new passport take at least 15 to 20 days, and those who leave their checks to the last minute could be forced to cancel their breaks, or reschedule their plans at great expense.
Those who are NOT travelling, are also being urged to ensure their passports are good to go, so they don’t get caught out in the event of an emergency.
Clare Fianna Fail TD Timmy Dooley says people routinely get caught out.
