Passengers Stranded As Rail Workers Join Strike

Tens of thousands of public transport passengers have been left stranded this morning as the Bus Éireann strike has spread to Irish Rail and Dublin Bus.

Pickets by workers from all three CIE firms are now taking place at depots around the country.

Staff are demonstrating solidarity with their Bus Éireann colleagues whose all-out strike over cuts has entered its eight day.
