Parteen School Kids Seek Help In Tracing Stories Of Century-Old Rugby Team

Pupils in Parteen National School are seeking help from members of the public in tracing the life stories of the Parteen Rugby Team from 1910.

The history project is being led by third class teacher and Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe, after a photo of the team appeared in a local history book.

Fifth Class pupil Christian Hartigan’s great-great-grandfather James Hartigan is in the picture – and he says it’s been fascinating to learn about him.
