Parking charges at University Hospital Limerick have jumped by more than 200% over five years.
Data provided to Sinn Féin by the HSE shows people paid €1.44m in parking charges at the Dooradoyle facility in 2025, compared to €446,787 in 2021.

Nationally, car parking income from hospitals has risen by over 10 million euro over the same period, from €7.39m to €17.76m.
Cork University Hospital recorded a 101% revenue increase from €1.35 million in 2021 to €2.72 million in 2025, while revenue rose at University Hospital Galway from €657,290 to €1.05 million, an increase of 59%.
