Parents Of Shannon Child Who Died In Tragic Road Traffic Colission Launch Temple’s Street Fundraiser In His Memory

The parents of a Shannon child who passed away in Temple’s Street Children Hospital following a tragic incident earlier this year have launched a fundraiser in his memory to support other families going through the same pain.

Ten-year-old Dylan Coady Coleman died after being struck by a vehicle near Purcell Park in February, but would go on to save the lives of five more children through organ donation.

During his stay, the hospital team deferred Dylan’s final brain cell test to ensure his baby brother Shane would be born in time to meet him and they continue to provide the family with monthly counsellor check-ins.

This afternoon, a kid’s Halloween disco, organised by the Coleman-Coadys will take place at the Hope Cafe in Shannon from 4pm to 6pm with all proceeds going towards the Children’s Health Foundation.

Dylan’s Mother, Laura Coady says the brothers getting to meet was a huge comfort in an extremely trying time.
