It now costs an average of almost €160 per week for full-time childcare in Clare.
The Department of Children and Youth Affairs’ Early Years Sector Profile suggests that fees have risen by an average of around €7 a week since last year.
Almost 4,000 children in this county are registered with childcare providers while 473 people are working in the sector here.
