Palestinian Refugees To Visit Clare As Part Of GAA Summer Tour

Palestinian refugees will soon be visiting Clare to improve their skills in gaelic games.

It will form part of a national event known as the ‘GAA Palestine summer tour of Ireland’ and will involve Cúl Camps, blitzes and more from the 18th of July.

One of the participating clubs, formerly named Rammallah has been renamed to Moataz Sarsour GAA club in memory of one of the first children killed by the Israeli Defence Forces last year.

Former Clare footballer and founder of Clare Gaels for Gaza Gordon Kelly is hopeful it will provided much needed normality for those affected.
