A Palestinian man living in Clare claims he sees “a lot of solidarity” in Clare with his people’s plight.
It comes as a fundraising event called ‘Gather for Gaza’ is to be held in the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point this Sunday September 7th, with all proceeds to go directly to families in the Palestinian enclave.

The event, which takes place from 12pm to 3:30pm, will feature live traditional Irish music, Palestinian dabke dancing, food and drink, a kids corner, a raffle and a market.
Mohammed Fayez Zaher Alloh, who lives in Miltown Malbay, is hopeful the charitable spirit showcased by the people of Clare during his time in the county will continue.
