Paddy Barnes has suffered heartbreak in the first of three Olympic semi finals for the Irish boxers today.

After a tough fight, the Belfast man was narrowly beaten by his Chinese opponent Zou Shiming in his light-flyweight semi final.
At the end of the three rounds – both men were level at 15 points each.
However, on a countback, Paddy was defeated and has now been knocked out of the competition, but will still win a bronze medal.
