Overcrowding At UHL Three Times Higher Than Next Busiest Facility

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is three times higher than any other hospital in the country today.

The latest figures from the INMO shows 64 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 48 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overal figures is 45 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 179 patients have been left waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
