Overcrowding At UHL On The Rise Again

Hospital trolleys

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

Latest figures from the INMO show that there were 57 patients awaiting a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 35 of those on trolleys in the emergency department alone.

It’s a rise of seven on the figure there yesterday and means it’s once again the busiest facility nationwide.
