Overcrowding Problems Persist At UHL

Nurses says the region's main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country for a second day running.

Figures from the INMO show 38 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 24 of those in the emergency department.

South Tipperary General Hospital follows with 30 people are on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.

The Irish Nurses and Midwoves Organisation says over 230 people are waiting for beds at hospitals across the country today.
