A high level of overcrowding is persisting at the region’s main hospital.
The latest INMO figures show there were 97 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 49 of those in the emergency Department.

The overall figures is two dozen more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 679 patients were waiting for beds across the country.
