Overcrowding Figures Spike In UHL

Hospital trolleys

There’s been another spike in queues at the region’s main hospital today.

University Hospital Limerick is once again the most overcrowded in the country, with a total of 49 people awaiting admission this morning.

The INMO’s Trolleywatch statistics shows 27 of those are waiting for beds in the new Emergency Department, while the number of patients on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility is 14 more than the next busiest hospital in the country.
