Overcrowding eases at UHL

Overcrowding has eased at the region's main hospital today.

According to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 12 people were waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick, while a further 17 are being accomodated in overflow wards.

It follows increased numbers last week, which saw up to two hundred people attending the ED on a daily basis.
