Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital in more than double that of any other facility in the country.
The latest analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 100 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning.

It’s 58 more than the next busiest hospital; Cork University Hospital and represents one fifth of all those on trolleys at the country’s hospitals today.
