Overcrowding At Region’s Main Hospital Highest In Country For Third Day Running

The level of overcrowding at the region's main hospital is the highest of any hospitial in the country, for the third day running.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that 45 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 25 of those in the Emergency Department.

There's a similar picture at Cork University Hospital where 42 people are waiting on trolleys, while in Dublin the Mater is the busiest hospital where the figure is 35.
