Overcrowding At Region’s Main Hospital Drops To New Low

The level of overcrowding at the region's main hospital has dropped to a new low.

Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were no patients waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department of University Hospital Limerick this morning.

While only one person was being accomodated in overflow areas of wards.

There's bee a net increase of 30 new beds at the hospital following a series of works that have been completed in the past few weeks.
