The numbers now registered for the household charge stands at over 888 thousand.
Figures released by the Local Government Management Agency also show that as of yesterday evening the figure includes almost 14 thousand people who have applied for a waiver.

On Tuesday a spokesman for Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan said the overall figure of households liable had been identified as over 1.5 million based on the results of the last Census.
