It’s claimed government inaction is contributing to the homeless crisis in Clare.
New figures released to Aontú following a parliamentary question show that 71 council homes in this county are currently unoccupied.
The Department of Housing’s homelessness report for January meanwhile has revealed that 97 Clare adults are now living in emergency accommodation, which is up 17% on this time last year.
Kilmurry McMahon based Aontú Representative June Dillon says supplying council houses requires greater political willpower and claims the process is bogged down by bureaucracy.
