Over 40 on Trolleys at Dooradoyle Hospital

Overcrowding has increased at University Hospital Limerick today.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says there are 41 patients on trolleys at the facility – with 27 of those in the facility's emergency department. 

There are similar issues reported at University Hospital Galway were there are 32 people awaiting a bed. 

In total the INMO says there are 501 people on trolleys at hospitals around the country today.
