Over 40 homes have been given the green light in one of Clare’s largest urban centres.
Clare County Council has granted Keogh Homes Limited approval for a residential development in Kilrush.
Hassett Leyden and Associates lodged a planning application with the local authority on behalf of Keogh Homes Limited on December 12th of last year.
The application provides for the construction of 42 homes in Cappagh Townland, Cappagh Road and Soldier’s Hill in Kilrush.
This includes 16 four-bedroom semi-detached houses, 10 three-bedroom semi-detached units, six three-bedroom terraced dwellings and four two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows.
It also features two four-bedroom detached houses, two two-bedroom duplex units, two three-bedroom duplexes, and all associated site works and services.
Further information was requested by the council on February 13th and this was provided by the developer on March 25th.
Planning permission was granted on May 28th and the developer has entered into a Part V planning agreement with the local authority, meaning up to 20% of units will be designated as social or affordable homes.
