Over 300 Fewer Ukrainian Refugees Living In Clare Since February

The number of Ukrainian refugees living in Clare has continued to fall substantially over the last three months.

New CSO figures show there are now 5,189 beneficiaries of temporary protection from the war torn state living in this county, which is a reduction of 330 from the 5,519 recorded at the height of the crisis in February.

There are now just over 2,000 Ukrainian refugees living in the Ennistymon electoral area, which represents 11.4 of the local population and remains the highest proportion of any LEA nationwide.

Only counties Galway, Kerry, Cork, Dublin and Donegal are now hosting more Ukrainians than Clare.
