Almost 13,000 premises in Clare can now avail of a high-speed broadband connection.
It comes as National Broadband Ireland is expecting to connect another 1,600 homes and businesses in the Labasheeda Deployment Area in the coming months, serving the likes of Kildysart, Kilmihil and Coolmeen.

The fibre network will be able to facilitate speeds of up to 500 megabits per second at schools, farms and properties in the region.
NBI CEO Peter Hendrick expects 32,000 properties here to be connected by the end of next year.
