Over 1,500 customers in Clare remain without power this lunchtime in the aftermath of Storm Darragh.
At the height of the storm there were over 400,000 outages nationally with 80,000 homes and businesses across the country currently without power.

In Clare over 16,000 premises were without electricity at the peak, with 1,615 customers remaining without power.
ESB Technical Manager, Michael Sammin, says the vast majority of outages will be rectified by this evening but that some homes may be without electricity until tomorrow.
