114 Clare schools are to receive funding under the government's Minor Works Scheme.

The grant is worth 5,500 euro per school, plus 18.50 per mainstream pupil and 74 euro for each child with special needs enrolled.
The funding is to be used for improvements to school buildings and the upgrade and purchase of equipment and furniture.
Clare's Senator Martin Conway says schools have been underfunded over the last number of years and this money will make a difference for pupils and teachers.
