Over 1.7 million passengers passed through Shannon Airport in 2015.

The Mid-West Airport has seen a 5% increase in passenger numbers in the past year, the third consecutive year of passenger growth.
The figure is up over 22 per cent on the total passenger numbers since the airport became independent in 2013.
The biggest growth area over the three year period since independence has been on its European services, which have more than doubled in the past three years, while visitors from the US have gone up by 12 per cent.
