The outgoing owner of an Ennis business has criticised the lack of river tourism promotion in the county town.
Alan Coote is bringing the curtain down on 12 years of Clare Kayak Hire at Ballyalla Lake, but will continue to provide the service elsewhere.

Alan has cited ongoing anti-social behaviour and struggles to secure a permanent facility at the lake as factors behind the decision.
He believes the local authority isn’t doing enough to promote or maintain the area.
