The Minister for Education says she has been lobbied by fee paying schools to allow them hold places for the children of former pupils.

Jan O'Sullivan today confirmed that primary schools will only be allowed to hold 10 per cent of places for the children of past students.
The measure was announced as part of a new Admission to Schools Bill at the INTO National Congress in Ennis.
Speaking to Clare FM, Minister O'Sullivan said many schools keep places for the children of past pupils – but she has been lobbied by fee-paying ones.
