The warning will remain in place until 10am tomorrow morning.

Temperatures dropped below freezing overnight and there’s heavy snowfall in many parts of the county this morning, leading to poor visability.

The N68 Ennis to Kilrush Road is said to be particularly bad; two busses and a truck have left the road this morning. There are no reports of injuries.

GardaĆ say road conditions are also bad on all side roads in West Clare and on the M18 motorway and are asking motorists to focus on the road and not on vehicles in the verges.
