Opposition hit out at government water meter plans

 

The Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes says the Government’s plan to introduce water taxes in 2014 will be resisted.

The Taoiseach confirmed yesterday that home-owners will have to pay for their own meters – but it’s still not clear how much this will cost, with some reports suggesting it could be as much as 300 euro.

However, Enda Kenny said the Government will foot the bill for the installation of the meters into every home.
