Shannon Group says there's a real opportunity for growth between Ireland and Canada.
The comments come after Canada's Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin Vickers, visited Shannon Airport and also the Shannon Heritage-operated Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.
Speaking after the meeting, Shannon Group's CEO Matthew Thomas said they now see a real opportunity for this part of Ireland to become a gateway into the EU for Canadian business.
Last year, there was 2.75 billion euro worth of trade between both nations, while 4.4 million Canadians are of Irish descent.
