Clare FM listeners have given a mixed assessment of the year ahead.
Nearly 300 people have responded to a poll on the Clare FM website, asking how optimistic they feel about their own circumstances heading into 2017.
51% are optimistic – with a fifth of all people saying they feel very positive.
However, 45% say they're pessimistic, with one in six saying they believe things will be worst this year.
