People young and old in Kilkee will be celebrating tomorrow at the offical opening of the Kilkee Astro Turf & Playground which will be performed by Mayor of Clare Madeline Taylor Quinn and local Councillor Patrick Keane
The playground has been open for some months and has proved to be a great success not only with the locals but also with sporting teams who can come to train in the all weather pitch.
The opening will also include a Family Fun Walk and there will be music and dancing with Patsy Downes.

The playground cost an over 400,000 euro and councillor Patrick Keane believes that the people of Kilkee have worked very hard for their playground but that every area in Clare deserves such a facility.
