Onus On Local Authorities To Outline Reasons For Tree-Felling – Ní Riada

An Ireland South MEP believes there’s an onus on local authorities to be more transparent about tree-felling.

Liadh Ní Riada has raised the issue in Brussels, after concerns were raised by multiple constituents about a spate of tree felling in municipal parks, housing estates and other public areas across the country.

Disappointment has previously been raised locally by Green Party local election candidate Roisín Garvey, after trees were knocked down in East Clare to facilitate drainage works.
