O'Connell Street in Ennis was blocked off for a time today following reports of a possible gas leak in the town centre.
Emergency services were alerted around 11.30am after concerns were raised about a smell of gas in the area.

Two units of Ennis Fire Service attended the scene and an investigation into the source of the smell has been carried out.
There's no reports of any serious incidents and traffic has returned to normal in the area.
