The Olympic Council of Ireland says it can't yet confirm whether their President Pat Hickey has been denied bail in Brazil.
The body says it's working to confirm media reports that he's being kept in custody in Rio.
Mr Hickey is facing charges after hundreds of tickets earmarked for team Ireland were confiscated from an alleged tout.
He was released from hospital in Rio overnight and brought to a nearby police station where it's understood he was questioned for four hours.
