The Director General of the HSE says he does not believe the executive is to blame for what happened at the charity Console.

Tony O'Brien has told the Public Accounts Committee that the H-S-E was not a regulator of charities.
He said their only concern was value for money for services and says they actually feel they underpaid for the services provided.
He insisted they weren't the charity regulator and got value for taxpayers money
Meanwhile the Department of Health says it did haul in former Console boss Paul Kelly in 2011 when then Minister James Reilly was alerted to an issue of him posing as a doctor.
