Barack Obama has used his final State of the Union address to urge Americans to reject politics which targets people because of their race or religion.

He appeared to take a swipe at Republic presidential frontrunner and Doonbeg Golf Resort Owner Donald Trump – who's called for a ban on Muslims entering the US.
In his primetime speech to Congress, he issued a plea for tolerance.
