An iconic Clare hotel could be set for a second lease of life, with plans afoot for it to be converted into a nursing home.
The Two Mile Inn, located just off the N18 dual carriageway in Meelick, closed last year with the loss of 15 jobs, though the site was sold last December.

O’Moradh Construction has now submitted an application to Clare County Council to turn the former hotel into a nursing home, and also to carry out associated construction works on the site.#
