The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called on the HSE to take action in order to ease overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick, in light of the death of a young Clare native there last year.

The inquest into the death of Darragh Curley, from Cratloe, heard that he was deemed to be a "very urgent" case when he was admitted to the hospital on what was described as "an incredibly busy night" last July.
The 33 year old was not seen within the recommended timeframe, however, and subsequently died.
Mary Fogarty of the INMO says nursing staff at University Hospital Limerick are worried that there could be a repeat.
