The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has announced that strike action will go ahead next Tuesday, due to management’s ‘total failure’ to address the staffing crisis.

Two hour rolling work stoppages are due to start at seven hospitals across the country, between 8 on Tuesday morning and 4 in the afternoon.

Emergency Nurse Karen McGowan says it’s impossible to do her job.
