Nurses Report 77 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital remains high, as the week begins.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows 77 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those on trolleys in the ED.

The overall figure is ten more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when there were 525 patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
