Nurses Picket In Ennis And Scarriff As Third Day Of Strike Begins

Nurses and midwives in Clare are among thousands taking to the picket lines for a third day of strike action.

They’ll be protesting outside Ennis General Hosptial, Bindon Street Health Centre, St Joseph’s Hospital and the Raheen community Nursing Unit in Scarriff today, as well as at health facilities across the country.

The 24 hour strike continues until 8am tomorrow as the current impasse persists between the government and the nurses union over pay and recruitment issues.
