“Nurses Were Crying” Over UHL Overcrowding Says INMO As 118 Recorded On Trolleys

Nurses are calling for the HSE’s Emergency Taskforce to be convened to urgently address persistent overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.

It comes as the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has reported 118 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 72 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure accounts for just over a quarter of the total number waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country today.
